My parents have recently bought a Midas down in Salt Lake. The AC in Taylor's truck (which i now have to drive because Kambria's car seat won't fit in my little 2 door civic) has been out for a while and i decided that i can't put my baby in a truck when its 100 degrees outside and just roll down the windows. So my dad said we could bring it in and he would look at it. I was a little nervous to make this trip with my daughter because she HATES her car seat. She screams every time we put her in it, no matter how happy she was prior. And no matter what we do in the car I cannot seem to make her happy.
Luckily she decided to sleep the entire way there. I was SO happy. Once we dropped the truck off we saw the farmers market they have there (which is like 10 times bigger then ours) so we decided to go look around. On our way there we remembered that we had forgot the stroller, and there was no way we were going to carry her around the whole time, so we stopped at target and bought a little umbrella stroller. She wasn't quite big enough for it but we made it work out, and i figured we would have bought one eventually, so that was my justification for buying a stroller to go walk around the farmers market.
After that we went to the gateway and went to the planetarium which we have been wanting to go to for a while now, got some lunch and shopped for a bit.
The whole time Kambria did AMAZING. She slept in her stroller most the time.
As she started to get mad we decided to go check and see if the truck was done yet.
They had figured out our AC just needed to be re-charged (YAY!) but some tire rods were loose so it was going to be a while before it was done..
My step mom offered to let us take her car home and come back for the truck another day.
On our way back she slept until we got to Smith and Edwards..we had to go shop in there..there's something for everyone in there.
Once we got back in the car she decided it wasn't fun anymore and cried until we got home. Talk about a LONG 45 minutes.
But we all survived our first big trip and it actually went much better then i had expected.
I love hearing your adventures!! Keep sharing. When you are looking at your blog and you are "signed in" in the upper right hand corner there is a link "Design". Then when you click on that, what I said on facebook should work. Weird that the link doesn't show up sometimes...
